This project incorporated some common elements as well as some unique elements.
Common elements:
55' X 10' bridge deck
HS20-44 (72,000 lb) vehicular weight capacity
Douglas Fir deck boards
Pre-cast concrete abutment blocks
Unique elements:
Removeable pedestrian handrail panels. This bridge may be covered in water during high water so the City wanted to be able to safely and easily remove all of the handrail panels so that debris floating in the water would not damage the handrails. Paragon came up with the conceptual designs, the City approved the plans, our engineers figured out all of the details, then Paragon built them. 100% American made components!
As always, this project came in on time and on budget.
