Guidelines for purchasing used goods.

Although we at Paragon are excited to provide an outlet for recycled goods we also have to balance this with our primary business line, which is bridge building. We kindly ask that you follow the these guidelines in order to keep this outlet of recycled goods available to you and the general public.

Pictures of exactly what is available at any given time can be e-mailed to clients.

Please be considerate of Paragon's time. We may charge clients for time consuming tasks requested.

Paragon recommends that you inspect used parts in person before purchasing.

All goods are sold to the first person to pay for goods. Paragon does not hold unpaid goods.

No refunds for used goods.

Used Wood

You asked for it and we have listened. Paragon now saves used wood decking from the railcars we are working on. Availability varies, types of wood varies, sizes of boards varies...but we usually have some in stock. Please keep in mind that we are railcar experts, not wood experts.

Paragon is pleased to see these used deck boards be put into another useful services, from custom furniture to rustic accents in various buildings.

Common sizes we typically see are:

1 1/2" thick boards: Range from 4" to 8" wide and 4' to 20' long.
3" thick boards: Range from 6" to 12" wide and 5' to 20' long.

These boards are still in pretty good shape. Split boards or decayed/rotten boards are recycled by other means and are not offered for sale here.

Give Paragon Railcar a call to see what is available today. Price depends on the amount of boards needed and the amount of time needed to select boards that meets clients needs. Prices are generally the same as purchasing new wood of the same size.
